Skinny Joe's Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Private Group?

A Private Group has its own private referee and plays on its own course.  The course it plays on may change throughout the day, but no other players are allowed unless the group invites them.  The Private Group may join the Walk-ons, but are not forced to do so.

Some of our Private Groups choose to play part of the time with the Walk-Ons, and many do not.  The choice is yours if you are a Private Group.

What is a Non-Private Group?

Non-Private Players and Non-Private Groups are forced to play with Walk-ons. Walk-ons are generally more advanced players. Most beginning and infrequent players say it was worth the extra cost for their group to play privately.

How Many Paintballs will we use?

Each Player uses, on average, 100-300 paintballs per hour.  The amount you actually use is likely to depend on your experience level, your personality, your budget, and many other factors.

What are "Walk-ons"?

"Walk-ons" are players that come to play without reservations.  They generally have their own equipment. They are generally more advanced players, though individual players' experience and level of play vary widely.

What is the Minimum Age?

Private Groups

There is no minimum age for members of private groups.  We urge parents to use their discretion to decide whether or not their child is mature enough.  We have seen 7 and 8 year olds have a  great time.  We have also seen 11 year olds that would have done well to wait a year or two before playing paintball for the first time.

Non-Private Players

Players that are not part of a private group must be at least 10 years old to play at Skinny Joe's Paintball Park.
